Okay, I don't know about you, but the second Valentine's Day is over, I’m all about SUMMER. But since we’ve still got a solid stretch of cold weather (I’m a BC girl, so summer really doesn’t show up until mid-June!), I need something fun to keep me going. So come March, I'm diving deep into my hobbies and ready to try something new with my hands!
My go-to spring hobbies? Sewing (hello, cute gingham linen dress!) and gardening... seriously, a cut flower garden? Chef’s kiss!
Here are a few memories to get you inspired to take these dreams into real life!
So, I thought I’d share some of my fav resources for all things crafty and fun while we wait for that sunshine. Let’s do this!
First off, I made you a Pinterest board full of hobby inspo to help you picture all the cute crafts and activities out there. Putting this together had me wanting to drop everything and hit the craft store immediately! 😂
If you’re looking to dive deeper into specific hobbies, here are some of my go-to accounts and websites that always inspire me:
SEW A LINEN DRESS: If you’re into sewing (or want to start), Syd Graham is my absolute fav for patterns and tutorials. She’s got everything you need to start making beautiful clothes — and her video tutorials are super beginner-friendly!
DIY & CRAFTING FUN: The House That Lars Built has all the quirky crafts and awesome DIY home projects you can dream of. You’ll definitely find something that catches your eye!
BAKING: If you’re in the mood for some yummy recipes, these three food bloggers are my faves: Ambitious Kitchen, Minimalist Baker, and Half Baked Harvest. Oh, and if you’re into cookies, this Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe? Gimme!!
DRAWING: I’m constantly inspired by artists like Dear Elaine Co. Her sweet drawing tutorials are perfect for getting you started on your sketching journey.
COLOURING: Want something super chill and relaxing? Join my Cheerful Colouring Club! You get hand-drawn printable colouring pages delivered straight to your inbox every month for just $5. It’s the ideal solo Netflix-night hobby or something fun to do while chatting with your friends. Plus, it’s a great way to entertain the little ones! And, to dip your toes in, I have got a freebie here for you! Grab them here!
I also put together a bunch of easy hobby ideas (think cross-stitch kits, paint-by-number sets, puzzles) on my Amazon Storefront and LTK for you to browse!
FYI: If you grab anything through those links, I get a small commission.
I hope this helps get you excited for March! Summer is just around the corner, but in the meantime, let’s get crafty and make the most of these chilly days!
